Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage

The Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for people in Thailand. Through research, development and education, the Mae Fah Luang Foundation enables coffee farmers to achieve high-quality and high-yield products. Through the Sustainable Coffee Challenge, the Foundation aims to contribute to the economic and educational development of coffee families in the Doi Tung region and beyond.

Our Commitments

Mae Fah Luang Foundation’s mission is to ensure a thriving coexistence between man and the environment through our “Doi Tung Model” of sustainable development. By multiple efforts including research & development, education and farmers’ improved access to inputs and basic services, we aim at enabling coffee farmers to achieve high-quality/ high-yield coffees which provide them with more incentives to protect the natural environment while maintaining resilience to changes in natural and manmade factors. It is expected that by 2020, all coffees produced in partnership with individual farmers, farmers’ groups and micromill owners and marketed as Doi Tung Brand will be fully complied with our Quality Standards.
